The Chatsworth Lake Entrance is located at the end of Franklin Parker Drive. The entrance is gated and there is a parking area for vehicles. There is also a porta-potty at the entrance. The preserve is open from sunrise to sunset. The preserve offers a variety of trails. The longest trail is the Black River Trail which is 4.5 miles long. The shorter trails include the Blueberry Trail (0.5 miles), the Cedar Trail (0.75 miles), the Magnolia Trail (1 mile), and the Oak Trail (1.5 miles). All of the trails are marked and well-maintained. The Black River Trail is the most popular trail at the preserve. The trail follows the Black River for 4.5 miles. The trail is moderately challenging with some sections of steep elevation.
